Personal and Professional

Development Plan

Passions

  • Always being there for my family, as they are most important to me.

  • I want to make others feel valued and cherished, regardless of my own personal struggles.

  • Striving for a better tomorrow through the use of tools such as creativity, and by connecting with others around me who have different perspectives to offer.

  • Strengthening my skills so that I can provide the world with a determined and progressive force that is ready to make a difference.

  • Investing in my close relationships, because I believe that these are paramount in every walk of life.

  • I am extremely passionate about people; I love my friends and will do everything in my power to protect them

  • Faith is the force in my life that motivates me and gives me strength, especially during times that test me. It isn’t selfish or bias, but rather understanding that everyone deserves fairness and thoughtfulness from others.

Life Impact

I encourage myself to go beyond my safe zone and to not fear for the uncertainty of the future, but rather, to embrace it. I want to encourage others to find their passion and to work to strengthen it. Everyone has something positive and unique to offer the world and I believe that harnessing that is one of the boldest things we can do for the world.

I plan to find new ways to create and innovate, to find big solutions for small problems and easy solutions for giant problems. I believe in following your dreams and in forging my own path, even if it strays away from the crowd. I hope to someday be a role model for young girls around the world, as someone who ignited and encouraged the creativity in everyone.

I know that motivation is everywhere and it can be discovered when I least expect it or it can be something I’ve had for a long time. I’ve been motivated by the idea of bringing change to the world for as long as I can remember. Something I’ve always found extremely motivating is seeing a smile on the faces of people I care about. I want to make others happy and I have a desire to help inspire people. One day, I hope to maybe write a children's book, so that I may share my adventures with the world and perhaps even have the honor of making a stranger smile - or better yet, laugh.

My Goals for the Remainder of My Time at Texas A&M

1) Work on relationships and form new ones that will last after college is over.

  • Friendship is extremely valuable to me and I never want to lose sight of who has most positively influenced my life over the years. I will work to keep in touch with my close friends and I will take action to rekindle the friendships from past years that have meant the most to me.

2) Strengthen myself and build confidence for future jobs.

  • I will begin by training myself for future interviews and research various fields of work that I may be interested in. I feel as though in the past, I've limited myself in the possible directions I could go in my potential career.

3) Reignite my drive for hobbies such as acting and inventing.

  • I will start practicing acting again, even if it's by myself in my room, reciting a poem. I believe that utilizing any creative outlet can help free the mind and, in turn, will better me in other areas of my life as well.

4) Exercise my ability to create and have a voice among today's youth.

  • I will create opportunities for myself in order for my voice to be heard, such as blogging and sharing my website with others.

5) Positively influence the younger generations, so that they have someone strong to look up to.

  • I will practice respect constantly in all areas of my life. Respect is the ability to treat others the way that you would wish to be treated. It isn’t selfish or bias, but rather understanding that everyone deserves fairness and thoughtfulness from others.

My Goals After I Graduate

1) Incorporate my dance training into my career or pursue a career that involves dance

2) Expand my horizons, make new friends in other places and invest in those friendships

3) Be an example for my younger siblings by having my own career and being there for my loved ones

4) Success is not the endpoint and it doesn’t mean that I’ve made it. It’s the hard work, care, and dedication turned into fuel for a positive lifestyle. I see success as freedom, where you feel it when it’s there, but you never observe it long enough to lose it.
